November 12, 2010 - Farmers Put Firm Demands in Front of Rail Service Review Panel

Canadian Canola Growers Association and Grain Growers of Canada have submitted their final comments to the Rail Service Review Panel about the urgency for change in Canadian rail service. “This panel has an opportunity to make real changes and fix a chronically malfunctioning sector,” says Ed Schafer, President of the Canadian Canola Growers Association.


October 1, 2010 - Cash Advance Extension for Farmers with Flooded Bin Sites

Farmers who are unable to deliver stored grain and repay their 2009 cash advance with the CCGA because of excess moisture around their bin sites welcome today’s announcement from Gerry Ritz, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, to extend the repayment deadline to January 31, 2011.


September 14, 2010 - Fall Cash Advances Provide Cash Flow and Marketing Flexibility

The Canadian Canola Growers Association (CCGA) is now accepting applications for the 2010 fall cash advance program. “The Post Harvest Advance Payment Program provides farmers with a cost-effective source of cash flow to cover fall expenses,” says Rick White, General Manager of the CCGA. “It also enhances your marketing program because it gives farmers greater flexibility to time their oilseed and non-Board grain sales.”


July 8, 2010 - Canola Farmers Welcome AgriRecovery Relief for Flooded Regions

The Canadian Canola Growers Association (CCGA) welcomes today’s announcement by the Governments of Canada, Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba to provide up to $450 million or $30 per acre in AgriRecovery disaster relief to farmers affected by excess moisture and flooding in some areas of western Canada.

March 24, 2010 - CCGA Now Accepting Spring Advance Applications

The Canadian Canola Growers Association (CCGA) is accepting producer applications for the spring cash advance program one week earlier than last year. Producers interested in obtaining an advance on their intended seeded acres should contact the CCGA as soon as possible to get their applications processed before seeding.
