CCGA Welcomes New Board Member During AGM

​​​​​​​​​Winnipeg, MB  --  Canadian canola farmers elected their representatives to the Canadian Canola Growers Association (CCGA) board of directors during the organization’s annual general meeting held in Winnipeg on March 6, 2013.

Todd Hames from Marwayne, Alberta continues to serve as President and Brett Halstead of Nokomis, Saskatchewan as Vice-President.  Hames thanked Colin Felstad, outgoing Alberta Director, for his many contributions to the CCGA board. The CCGA board also welcomed Raymond Blanchette as Alberta’s newest CCGA director.

Continuing as board members are Jack Froese and Dale Gryba, Manitoba Canola Growers Association; Dale Leftwich and Franck Groeneweg, SaskCanola; Marlene Caskey, Alberta Canola Producers Commission; Barry Follensbee, B.C. Grain Producers Association; and James McKinlay, Ontario Canola Growers Association.

The Canadian Canola Growers Association represents 43,000 canola farmers on national and international issues that impact farm profitability.
