Jan Dyer Joins CCGA as Director of Government Relations

​​​​​​​​​Winnipeg, MB  --  The Canadian Canola Growers Association (CCGA) is pleased to welcome Jan Dyer to the newly created position of Director, Government Relations. She will begin her new role when CCGA’s Ottawa office opens in early October.

Ms. Dyer, who holds a MSc. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Saskatchewan, comes to CCGA with extensive experience in both agriculture and policy issues. For many years she served as a senior executive focusing on policy, programs and stakeholder relations in the federal departments of agriculture, environment and health. She recently retired as Director General, Sustainability at Environment Canada after 28 years of public service.

“Jan’s experience working within government paired with her keen interest in grassroots agricultural policy issues will make her a strong and effective advocate for canola farmers in Ottawa,” says Rick White, General Manager of CCGA.  “We look forward to her joining our team very soon.”

CCGA represents more than 43,000 canola farmers on national and international issues, policies and programs that impact farm profitability.
